Shipping and Postage

Items within the UK will be shipped within 2 working days. Packages are sent by royal mail first class delivery, and should take 1-2 working days to reach you. This kind of postage, though the cheapest, only offers compensation upon loss for up to £39, so orders over this price may be shipped in multiple parcels, or have an additional charge to cover postal insurance. Prices to the UK are as follows:

ItemsPostage Cost
1£2.00
2£2.50
more£3.00

I will ship internationally, but please contact me first to sort out shipping costs. International customers will receive 17.5% off the price off items (VAT), but may have to pay taxes when the items pass through customs into their country.

Payment

I accept payment by paypal, personal cheque or UK bank transfer. All items will be posted after the relevant payment has cleared, this can be up to a week for cheques.

For commissions I require 50% of the payment in advance as a non refundable deposit, with the remaining 50% being payable before I ship the finished items. I will send photos of the pieces when they're done, and we'll make sure you're 100% happy with them before I send them!

Materials

The glass I use is 104 COE soda lime glass (mostly)- the number just meaning that when you melt it its not quite as stiff as bottle or window glass, and nowhere near as stiff as pyrex! I use CiM, effetre and vetrofond brands of glass in a fantastic array of colours!

All findings I use are quality sterling or fine silver. The difference? Fine silver is 99% silver, but it soft and melts easily, sterling silver is 92.5% silver (the rest is usually copper), which is harder and tougher, and tarnishes less quickly.

Some of the beads I use are ceramic bases that have been dipped in molten metal to form a thick layer- this makes the beads lighter than solid metal, and also cheaper.

Where specifically noted I do use other metals- some pieces I make are brass or copper. All metals I use are pure, rather than plated- as it is very difficult to find out what the base metal is.

Cord necklaces are made from solid rubber which stands up well to exposure- I've been wearing one for over a year and there's no brittleness yet!

The other cord I frequently use is organic hemp, it has a slightly rougher look than cotton, but it far more environmentally friendly in its production.

The glass I use is not recycled, but I'm working on it. If you know of a compatible recycled art glass supplier in the UK, let me know.

Sizing

All sizes are noted in the piece descriptions, and most of my pieces have extender chains to fit a range of sizes. However people come in all shapes and sizes, and if you find your favourite piece doesn't fit, or the piece you want to buy is the incorrect size- I can restring it for only 50p. We will also accept items back for restringing, and again it is only 50p, excluding postage.

My 'pandora style' beads have 5mm sterling silver cores, making them suitable for most Pandora, Biagi and Troll brand bracelets.

Returns

I realise it is very hard to accurately visualise jewellery from photographs, so if you receive your jewellery but really are not happy with it, I will offer a full refund, minus postage. You must contact me prior to returning any items, items must be sent recorded delivery, and be received by me before a refund will be enacted.

Guarantee

I guarantee my workmanship is of high quality, any problems arising from faults- please contact me and we will work it out. All my beads are annealed in an accurate digital kiln, and checked for stress and cracks through polarised filters before being sold. However glass can still be fragile- if you drop it, it will break.

These jewellery pieces are not toys, and are not intended for children.
